Red Wine Sorbet

Red Wine Sorbet

Wondering what you can do with the left over red wine after a big party? How about some DIY red wine sorbet? This recipe is easy and works with any kind of red wine!

 

Ingredient:

230ml     Water

150g       Sugar

350ml     Red Wine

 

Directions:

Gently heat the sugar and water in a saucepan. When the sugar dissolves, bring to a boil, reduce to a simmer, cover and cook for 5 minutes. 

 

Add the wine, remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature. 

 

Once cold, place the mixture in the refrigerator for at least about 2 hours. Then move to freezer and freeze over night. 

 

To serve leave mixture to thaw a little so that it can be spooned into flute glasses to serve as a fancy dessert.

 

Serves 4
